Right now ive got a 400W hood and ballast but I am moving to another room. It is about 36 square feet. If I stay with 400W HPS I will be less than 2000 lumens per square foot--not ok so I need some more juice. This is what I was thinking in addition to my 400W light hood: High Tech Garden Supply with High Tech Garden Supply With a 600W it would put me at 1K Watts and around, still small, a lux of 9000. minimal info is included about the light. I was hoping someone here has used it and can give me anything. It needs a fan i am assuming but it just doesn't say? Also can I run 400, 600, and 1000W with it? Lord I hate it when online sites dont provide necessary and flat out basic info, I dont get it do they just expect us to buy shit without a plan? Anyways what do you guys think about the equipment, my setup, my plan?
I think that you would be better off with an air cooled reflector. You will only be able to use 600W MH or HPS bulbs with that ballast. The wattage of the ballast and bulb must match.
