If you were born in a different state or country, or were of a different nationality, religion, gender, time period? Do you think you would be the same person you are today? If you could choose, which age or epoch, culture or people of world history would you live in? The sheer number of diversifications within just one species leads one to imagine how vast life is in the entire universe.
I've been wondering about this for some time, and I've always ended up fantasizing it would be better, but then after a while I'd remember I wouldn't know the people I know now, and that I could be dumber and never figure out some stuff I did in this life and then stop thinking about it for a while
Dog that's illin, like I consider myself privileged. Maybe if I wasn't so think about how much harder your life would have been and different world views. It's like opinions are arbitrary and personalized but noone is really right just adjusted to their situation, shit.
Sometimes I wonder what it'd be like, sure, but the possible implications.. woah, endless! On a similar note, imagine if you were born into the same circumstances but were the opposite genre, would you still be the same person?
I definetely wouldn't be the same person because it's the culture that I grew up in that made me who I am. But then again, I probably wouldn't be a member on here and I wouldn't have the friends that I have today, so it's not like I completely regret it or spend an excessive amount of time wondering what could have been or should have been. Do you mean gender?
