What do you suggest?

    hey guys first time grower
    what do you suggest.
    im growing in a closet
    should i put up mylar on the walls and get a 400W HID Ballast?
    or other idea was getting a grow tent and putting that in the closet with a LED?

    another thing should i use clay rocks , or soil????

    id go cheap an by those windsheild blockers tht r shiny at the 99cent store and put them on the wall in ur closet. and i lik soil, but iv never tryd led tht would b cool though

    Not at all a pro at indoor, But id' go flat white with walls if u have laying around cheapest way. Probaly only cost 20 bucks for mylar though depending on closet. With a closet you might want to go with a dimmable ballast and think about cooling your hood/light.

    I just put a 600 watt hps dimmable ballast in a 36'' x46'' x 7' closet. Now i have 3 step ups to the side of this area im not using = extra air space and u am running light at 450watts and it is still just under 80 with fan in window and 2''x2'' box fan in there. Never had to worry about heat outdoors. Gonna have to vent myself might want to add that into list gets hot quick

    Ebay'd lights through "neverexhale"? 225 a piece no s&h- yo yo hangers, timer, 600 watts hps dimmable ballast, lil sun 17''x 27'' hood i believe plus warranty. I order 2 to get that price but his personal cell # on ebay page he''ll cut deal/ match prices. 100% satisfied, cut a deal and just e-mail a paypal #. Nice to order from someone u can call and talk to personally.

    Your best course of action is to read the stickies here, I just joined the site a couple of days ago and I've learned a LOT. Obviously, experience is zero now, but it's way better to start with some real info that you understand.

    To give you an idea (again, I'm a total beginner also and plan on starting my first grow in a couple of weeks) - I'm not gonna buy a grow tent, as they seem overpriced and I'd rather invest in lights and ventilation, not "walls". And it's actually very easy and fun to build one, which I'm gonna do. If you already have the closet, just coat it with mylar, drill a couple of intake and exhaust holes (with carbon filter if smell is an issue) and u're pretty much good to go in the grow box department (just make sure it's light proof).
