I love Nas, but he's doing a collaboration with Damian Marley now. I'm pretty sure they have a cd that's either out or coming out. I saw them at Bonnaroo and the two of them together was just weird. It's literally like taking a piece of a Damian Marley song and following it with a piece of a Nas song and so on so forth. So, that's weird... but he's still a great rapper.
Illmatic is the best rap album ever, Nas is a top 10 overall with a great and unique flow....then he make's Distant Relatives after a great career (maybe not mainstream but that doesn't mean shit) and while it wasn't groundbreaking, it was a great, solid album and a sound that we've never really heard before. I dont agree His flow combined with unique lyrics is what makes him stand out to me I take it your not a big Guru fan?
yea. I didn't like hip hop was dead because of the affect it had. Everybody was goin around sayin hip hop was dead just cuz Nas said it. That is a huge slap in the face to MC's still tryin to make it in the game, but the actual album was good. His weakest album was Streets Disciple.
my favorite rapper of all time [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZSODfefzlE]YouTube - nas new york state of mind 2[/ame]
