What do you guys think about Lil Wayne?

    I know many people that like him. I also know many people that think he is absolutely terrible. What are you views on his music?

    I like his older music when he wasn't trying to rap like a gangster more. I still like him a lot because of the creativity in his lyrics, but yea.

    He has some good songs, he is definitely better than people actually portray him.

    Good rapper I don't care what anyone says, his shit is chill + cool.

    You don't usually go listen to Weezy if your looking for fuckin' serious rap that means shit.

    I like all Weezy before and including Carter 3
    After that he just doesn't put any effort into his music

    I used to listen to stuff on tha carter 2 and 3. then I started hearing all of these really bad mainstream collaborations and lost interest.

    His similes are just getting over-the-top stupid now, his raps don't rhyme anymore, and he really needs to lay off smoking for awhile to improve his voice.

    so basically he's dead to me now

    I like his newer stuff. I prefer mainstream rap. Some prefer 'undergound' hip hop better and refuse to accept wayne since he hit the top of the charts

    I don't have anything personally against him or anything, I just don't like rap music...except for Tupac, he was the man.

    Everything from Tha Carter to Tha Carter III, especially all the mixtapes, not so much the features but some of those were still good. Now he makes songs for money they all sound just as shitty as mainstream pop music. He has the ability to make great music, he just doesn't anymore.

    you know what really started to bother me about him?

    when he did that song turnin me off or whatever with Keri Hilson, the original version was more gritty and had no autotune, then wen the real version came out it was all autotuned out. at that point i knew i would never really fuck with him anymore.
