I did the trio thing to start, but I'm realizing in veg my plants have nice healthy soil so I'm not really feeding them at all. By the time they hit flower, they've stripped the soil down pretty well and need some help. This has caused me to use almost all of my bloom and micro bottles and maybe 1/4 of my grow nutes. I know everybody has their own n-p-k system and you can't always mix & match due to that, I'm wondering if anybody JUST uses nutes for flower, and what they'd suggest. Thanks!
I have the foxfarms nutrient trio and I'm currently using foxfarms ocean forest soil. I vegged for 6 weeks and didn't see a need to amend the soil or anything. I transplanted originally from a solo cup a few times up to a gallon size container and I'm giving bloom nutes only with the recent addition of a calcium/magnesium supplement. My plant was healthy and didn't show deficiencies until 4th or 5th week of flowering. You can see the grow in my sig if you like.
Pura vida organic grow and bloom and I use microblast for the micros. Obviously. When I start the grow I always add earthworm castings and I've found I only have to use the grow nutes one time through all of veg. If that. Sometimes they don't need anything till the second week of flower and I always give a one month veg period. At least till around day 21-25 when they show definite sex without a light change.
If your only using one gallon buckets you should be planting the seed straight to those so you don't have any root bound issues that cause the plant to stunt or stop growing because of shock. Can I ask why your transplanting multiple times to get to a one gal?
