Hey guys, I’m back to growing after 10yrs off and curious as to what everyone does for healthy root growth. my current medium is..... FF ocean forest (40%) Triple washed Coco (40%) Perlite (20%) all in a smart pot with 20% run off feed. thinking about adding great white mycorrhizae and maybe using some root accelerator. Any thoughts on it? What do you do insure healthy root zone? thanks! Rams
Worms. They "till" the soil and eat any dead or dying roots. The dead roots are then changed into worm castings to fertilize your plants. My plants are in 19 gallon rubbermaid tubs with the lids as drip trays. I don't know how worms would fare in a smart pot.
Nice! I read somewhere that warmer root zone is a good thing. How do you go about achieving that without warming up your room too much?

Why do so many people mix coco into soil? I really dont get it like. If you wanna just feed water then go with soil. If you wanna feed liquid nutes go with coco. And if you wanna make life as difficult as possible for yourself. Give yourself the highest chance of all possible growing dramas then mix them together. 4th thread ive seen in half an hour. Has mr canuks channel been exploding again?
