I think cannabis is a super dope (haha) industry, and I feel like as a new industry there’s gotta be some universal issues that haven’t been solved yet. If you don’t mind me asking, what are they? I’d love to make a startup or something that actually helps owners growers etc
Hemp-crete blocks have turned a lot of heads more so in europe where building costs have skyrocketed, the bad news ...its the wrong guys selling them..they cost more than normal blocks, the good news is its proving to many that weed does have it uses, same with hemp clothe even roof tile, the list is growing
To me the largest controlling factors the the growth and accessibility of the industry have to do mainly with 3 things. High taxes, being limited to a state market and lack of access to capital. It's kinda telling that the demographic that was most associated with weed and spent the most time in jail are not the same demographic selling weed now. I think that's a huge topic too. Part of legalization, I'd argue is a moral righting. The 3 things I listed, and the general way our economy works means the only successful people will not be necessarily the most talented, but the ones with access to the most start up capital. Ultimately, that means nothing will differentiate the weed industry from any other in the long run. Obviously, the biggest obstacle to all of this is federal legalization. Even in a very narrow sense, no one in the industry will make big bucks in comparison to other industries until it is a publicly traded stock. That's how the world works right now.
Figure out a way to compete with Metrc. They are the seed to sale tracking system that most states contract with and they are absolutely horrible. Waaay to much unnecessary data input and triplicate bullshit.
This And… they charge us a dollar for every plant tag. It has an RDIF chip in them for easy identification. They don’t offer a way to reuse them so they get trashed. And non existent customer support.
Find me a way to make this passive carbon capture system at a size and price range that would make it more economically feasible to add CO2 via passive air capture than burning heaters or co2 generators for growers as small as 20-50 plants. Right now most industrial carbon capture is only feasible on large scale and in operations that require a lot of Co2 onsite. I need something like the current mini's, only at a price range that wouldn't cost more than the greenhouse, lights and regular gear you need to grow combined Bonus if I could use the extra CO to refill the tank in the kegerator.
I think the reusable RFID chip makes sense as a place to start. I’m guessing the issue is that they don’t have the infrastructure in place to collect the chips at the end of the process? Could be wrong though.
