Quote from a novel i am reading in school: "When your dreams are of some world that never was or of some world that never will be and you are happy again then you will have given up. Do you understand?". what do u get out of this quote? i need to somehow make a discussion out of this..
its from a book titled "The Road". yes its for school, i just have to come up with a discussion or understanding for that quote.
i just want a basic understanding of what this shit means. i havent a clue, just thought the wise people of GC could help me out.
When we dream of our world, and it lacks any meaning/comfort, we are moving away from our sole existence. The earth, the place in which we live, fight, love, eat has turned into merely a spec of anguish in your mind. So much so that we seek for something impossible. When we have stopped finding the greatness of our lives on this planet, we have given up, because this world, the real world, is the only thing that truly matters.
fuckin BAM! thats the kind of answer i was lookin for. +rep, thanks Milky. keep it commin people, use ur creativity damnit!
