What do think about people who smoke for the wrong reasons?

    I'm talking about those people who only smoke because they think it's the "cool" thing to do...these are typically the people who never buy their own weed and never pack a bowl when they are by themselves...

    What are your thoughts about them? and do you ever tell them anything? Just curious

    No, live and let live. If you don't want people looking down on YOU for smoking for whatever reason, then don't look down upon THEM for smoking for any reason.:wave:

    meh it's whatevs in my book, if someone doesn't usually smoke and they feel like smoking to impress someone, shit i'd smoke them out.

    either
    a) they'll do something funny and I'll enjoy laughing at them or
    b) I will have shared something great with them, maybe they'll learn in time

    shit as long as they're thankful and don't piss me off i got no problem with these people

    Honestly I don't believe there is a wrong reason to smoke, I mean even if they smoke just to be cool, at least their still smoking this wonderful plant.

    Haha all great answers...Although I agree with alot of your answers, I still have that hostility towards people who smoke for the "wrong reasons" because I feel like they don't appreciate the ganja properly...I mean, yeah, they get lifted just like us, but the vibe I get from them is a negative one.

    Put it this way, it's like a group of friends who all enroll at, let's say, Grasscity University because that's where their hearts WANT to be, but there's that one guy enrolls there just because all his friends are going there, not because he wants to be there...The people who actually want to be there would enjoy his company and all, but at the same time they'd be like "dude, I mean you're cool and all, but if you don't wanna be here you can just drop out, it's cool man, no worries." haha....maybe I'm over thinking this shit....

    *reaches for ganja and proceeds to blaze and forgets about this thread* :smoking:

    Thing is man, you create your own definition of 'appreciating ganja properly', so while you may think a certain way about it, someone else might think they're truly appreciating it even though there just fuckin up.

    I cant really say I know anyone that smokes to just be "cool". sure when I was kid this may have been the case with some, but at this point in my life my youngest friends are in their 30's and well beyond the point in life where "perceived cool" is an issue.

    For the people in the world who do smoke for these reasons, the psychology is simple, people are trying to fit in, to find there place, to find acceptance, and sometimes that means making choices like that.

    In a nutshell folks are trying to find themselves and that will take you down many different roads if your doing it right.

    The best situation when you know somone like that is to smoke with them and get them far higher than they can handle. Ive found they will be emabaced and far less likly to brag when they know you saw them freak out.

    Done this many times, and it fixed there wagon.
    After they learn a limit/learn that bragging only makes them look like an ass in the end.
    and no harm done.

    i dont see why people have a problem against people who do anything to be cool. we all want to belong

    (i mean by anything dress, talk, whatever, not stuff like jumping off of bridges or stealing stuff for laughs)

    shit, i just dont like people who brag and talk their game up, like pretend they are seasoned and they're not, pretend they got the best weed when they dont, talk big, these people piss me the fuck off and everyone sees right through them, these people I enjoy laughing at, I make them go to sleep, or freak out, or even vomit lol. These people usually get shut up pretty quick by my weed. :p

    Because all those *cool* antics are replacements for personality and integrity, and I just can't put up with some empty shell thinking I need to respect them because they're *cool*.

    i totally agree with this. opinions are relative and so someone may view you differently than you view yourself, and vice versa.
