A friend and I are thinking of starting a grow and neither of us have done so before. Any info would be helpful such as what kind of pots are needed, lights, fans,vents, or anything else. Thank you for your help.
Read, then read, and read some more. Stickies in the Absolute Beginner section are a great source of information. Ed rosenthal and Jorge cervantes are great instructors as well, through books and DVDs. Tell your friend to do the same. The more you know before you start, the better.
check out all the stickies in all the forum sections on growing, watch some vids on youtube (I recommend jorge cervantes). everything you need to know to get started has already been explained numerous times.
asking what you need to grow is a very broad question and you could easily fill a large book with the answers so no one is going to be willing to answer that in full. if you read up on some of the more common aspects and then you will be able to ask more specific questions that people will be able to answer in a comfortable few lines
