Hello!!! This question is regarding me getting all 4 wisdom teeth out.. I was wondering what (I know its an Anesthsia) they use. Also anybody here ever had there wisdom teeth out? How was it during the procedure and after. ALSO I was wondering what they perscribe to you ( if they do ) after the procedure, I have heard that it hurts alot . You're most likely going to get an opiate based pain killer after, either hydrocodone or oxycodone/acetaminophen blend tabs, probably 5/325 mixes.
some might use a type of caine(like Novocaine,cocaine,benzcaine) to numb the area and then do the operation. you might get, ibuprofen, vicoden or oxy if you're lucky.
Well they will put you to sleep and i know for a fact DO NOT do any drugs 3 days befor you get it done. They told me that like 7 times haha and i got hydros but ehh i don't fuck around with pills and neither should you.
they just used local anestestics on me but if they put you under it will most likely be a mix of intervenous valium, sodium penethol, and something else i cant remember. if your real swollen after they wil give you vicoden or motrin 800
Usually they give you the valium to take before the procedure. There was no IV when I went in - they just put the little gas mask thingie on me and I was out until they were done I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out at once. They gave me prescription strength Ibuprofen and Vicodin and had me alternate between the two.... ever 4-6 hours or so.
