  1. i am not sure if i should study the entire book. i am lazy and want to find out an easier way to study like on a INTERNET website. what did u study.:smoking

  2. ur 18 and don't have ur license yet:confused_2:

  3. Well if you're like me, and don't want to have to drive around with a cop, and want to know exactly what you need for the test, take drivers ed, it will also make your insurance rates lower.

But if you're like me, you will also feel a bit humiliated being in a class with people 2-3 years younger than you.... but it's pathetically easy if you just do the stuff, and you WILL pass everything easily if you do it. And if where you live has a minimum time with a permit before getting a liscense or whatever, it doesn't matter, if you're 18 you can go for it strait off after getting out of the class, got mine today actully.

  4. Your suppose to study for that?

  5. You have to taken a written test for your license? Are you talking about your permit?

For most places all you have to do to get your license is take behind the wheel class, or go to the DMV and drive around the block with one of their driving instructors. You're supposed to be 18 to be on this site, so you shouldn't have to hold a permit first or have a minimum number of driving hours.

  6. There's a test for it lol? If you are 18 and never took a Drivers Ed class you can just skip that shit and go to the DMV and just drive around with one of them....I'm not sure about private companies though, I remember the woman I took it with asked for Drivers Ed II certificate, but then again I was 17 when I did that.

  7. well here in california i have been told that u have to take a test before behind the wheel even if your 18.

  8. It's all fuckin common sense bro. The only thing I got wrong was the distances. They ask stupid quesetions like "What is the safe distance to follow someone with your brights on?" I think it was like, 300 feet. Other thatn that if you can't figure it out on your own you really shouldn't be drivin. Just relax. Its easy as hell.

  9. Dude just read the book through a couple times-- the test is easy as pie,
just re-read the question before you answer, they try and trick ya! :smoking:

  10. In that case, you can go on your state DMV website and take sample tests. Just read through the manual. I know when I took my written test 8 years ago you could miss 2 of the general knowledge questions, and none of the road sign questions, so make sure you know all your road signs, even the ones that you don't normally see.

  11. thanks for the help

  12. yeah, at least in texas, you need to know the different signs by shape and picture, and be able to say what they mean by either.

Really, it's not hard though. It's just the driving with a cop you should worry about...

  13. Drivin with a cop? Did I miss something? The driving instructor is not a cop. At least not when I got my license.

  14. right, i was like wtf

  15. I never even cracked the book what so ever.

As long as you pay attention during the lecture part of driver's ed you should be fine. Most of the questions are common sense with a few tricky ones thrown in here and there.

I remember I waited at least 2 months after I passed driver's ed to go to the DMV and still passed without ever reading a sentence from the manual.... Although I just barely passed on the written.
