What deficiency is this guys?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Cushdy, Aug 8, 2019.

  1. Can someone pls tell me what's wrong with these plants? I've checked the run off its spot on ph/ CF. I'm now down to using one 315 CDM . Thinking x2 was heat & light stress? The rh is always dialled in accurate. The balance of intake & extraction is timed right. I'm also dosing these with Co2 gas using an NDIR sensor so all that side is sorted. They're still a good 40" away from only one 315w cdm so how can it be light stress?? Theres x3 GG # 4 + 2 randoms? But x4 exodus cheese ( which Is a strain I know, fortunately can handle more stress !) I wanted a batch of clones rooted off these & then well into flower by now!!?

    I would be grateful for any help pls guys? 20190805_150723.jpg 1565256410341.jpg 1565256606472.jpg 20190808_091841.jpg 20190808_091822.jpg 20190807_174822.jpg 1565256372853.jpg

  2. Here is your answerWhy Cannabis Leaves Turn Yellow | Grow Weed Easy
Look at all the pictures, then try to guess which one is yours.
Only add something once. If that doesn't fix it, then go the other way and try to get roots feeding again. A sick plant can live on water just as well as some fertilizer that it is obviously not drinking anyway.
Yellow tops are usually one of the metals or magnesium, and calcium usually follows. Green veins ragged edges usually Potassium. The grower knows the history best, if it makes sense, add, if it doesn't make sense (and no deficiency makes any sense to me since I have given them everything the book says they need, so it must be something else) clean em up and get them ready to go drinking.

  3. They've had some heat stress in the past at some point but other than that they look good. There looks to be some dark colouration in the first photo but I'm not sure if that's just the purple light shining on it. If not, I'm not sure what the cause of that is.
They look pretty healthy overall, nothing really stands out for me

  4. Thanks for your input my friend. So basically it was pure overkill on the light situation, then providing a much too hot environment!! I did start this 2m x 2m x 150m ( quite small) budbox grow. With x2 1000 cheap Chinese LED's alongside 2x 315 cmd !!?? Thought with co2 it could handle the load? That few days of real heat showed it couldn't & triggered all this stress. That 1 light is good 3 ft above & temp/ rh back to normal. Would you agree all that pale damaged growth will grow out? I wanted clones from this batch by now. I didn't want to take snips from too stressed plants?

  5. see if shit improves with the heat situation if it doesn't spray for mites

  6. Thanks for your response. I reckon its gotta be a combo of heat & light stress. First time I've used CMD ballast's these 315w bulbs kick out plenty of light/heat. I guess using 2 x 315 plus x2 , 1000w LeD's was a bit too much?! Even with the co2?
Hopefully I'll see a recovery? Def no bugs in there!

  7. i fucking love cmh they're my favorite lights. how far away are there and what are your temps? look at my plants, they were slightly under 2 ft away from the CMH and no signs of burning in my tent and now they're under 750 gavitas for the time being.

honestly if your temps are below 90 I think you have a bug issue because I've seen plants in people not knowing what they're doing in rooms at 95F with no co2 and they weren't doing that crap.

keep lost coast plant therapy and sulfur in your garden and do a mite check. do not mix the two. i've tried low amounts of sulfur with it and didn't get burn but i'm too scared to recommend that to others lol.

  8. I run double Hortilux 315s
They are tricky to get right! I figured out that if I try to grow plants outside the 3x3 footprint, those plants will stretch. I really reccomend using Hortilux bulbs when u reorder!! My issue was finding the sweet spot. Mine is like 32- 36 inches away

  9. Hi dabs.
You really think they could have a bug infestation? I didn't mention that the gg seeds & the cheese clones. I seriously pushed too hard on a full 24hr light cycle from the get go. Started 24/7 Under a t5. Then added 2 cheap Chinese LeD's. Then put the tent up & added the two 315w cmh. It was hot & really bright, but I thought in a 2m high tent 2m x 1.5m with the co2 & good in/out should cope? Didn't think 2 x 315w cmh would be too much I there?
Rob ... how can I see your pics bro?

  10. what the dude said above is a nice height. for me i scooted my tall ones a little to the side. i've seen buds with bad light burn / heat issues. you can tell it's happening because if you look at the tops when the lights are off and you take a pic you can see the cluster of hairs sticking out like a sore thumb which I think is where that super hairy ass bud comes from (heat issues / light burn).

i had a homie fuck up his first time growing not on purpose, he thought he had bigger space but when the moment came he had reduced height and he got a few of his tops WAY too close to the bulb. i'm talking within 6-9 inches. his plants didn't look like that.

look at russet mite damage. i see SO MANY GROWERS not know they have an infestation under their thumb and think they just can't grow right when these things are lurking right in front of them.

i also see a lot of people mistake root aphids for gnats.

  11. have you also sat down and looked under the leaves and checked for spider mites at all?

  12. looking at your plants i'm honestly wondering if you have russets because from the far away view the plant's new growth always looks like a calmag deficiency before it looks ugly.

  13. Thanks for your response. I started these off the gg seeds went 24/7 under a t5 then added as an experiment two cheap Chinese ebay supposed 1000w LeD's. Good growth everything normal. I built the tent which is 2m high by 2m long with a depth of 1.5m. Added two 315w cmh with elite veg bulb, plus the two chinese leds. After a couple days of extreme outside temp & loads of hours balancing in/ out--rh-temp + co2. I thought heat/ light stress had triggered another deficiency so I've taken everything but one cmh down. The girls are praying hard still with only 1 light left?

  14. dabs bruv I'm thinking you might be right about russet mites? Need to look closer or try & magnify the leaves but I'm sure I can see tiny white things barely visible to my eye lol

  16. Spray Bonide sulfur 3 tbsp / gal and the problem will go away if russets. Be careful if you've sprayed oils recently.

I've never been able to see russets without a scope they are much smaller than spider mites.
