What country would you move to?

  1. If you had the option to just up and leave and start a new life in a new country, where would it be?

    rant:

Reason for my asking is that I'm pretty knowledgeable about US politics, finances, etc. and I see that this country doesn't fit my needs anymore. The american dream emphasizes an individuals pursuit for unlimited success (well its real obvious now that its limited in many ways, mj being one of them, but still). I would rather go to a Scandanavian country where I would obviously contribute more financially so that everyone could enjoy nicer things. call it socialist if you want, that means nothing to me because those countries obviously know how to run themselves. It sickens me to see the stratification of the wealthy and the poor in the US and it only getting wider and that we as americans choose this life for us. if I could I would jump off this sinking ship of a country tomorrow I would.

  2. Its funny cus u mention socialism and communism to people and they act like if its worse then hell. The problem with socialism and communism is that a lot of leaders dont know how to run it right. If you read about communism and socialism on a paper it sounds great. Americans are just brainwashed into thinking that if a country isnt a democracy then it is a country with oppressed citizens who need are help. Anyway if I could choose any country it would def be italy. Life there sounds a lot more laid back and Id love me some italian women.

  3. I know what you mean. I like switzerland myself, but no country is perfect.:(

  4. Technically America is not a democracy, it's a democratic republic:p

  5. idk, always figured canada.

but i'm sure if i was going to go i'd really sit down and think about it, and prob go somewhere i never thought about going before

    australia seems cool

  6. id be going to holland

  7. i know what you mean about mentioning it to people. it's like they don't understand that one system doesn't work for everyone. countries are just as unique as people as lame as it sounds. italy sounds like a great culture to be a part of, so much historical significance and i'm sure it's still really reflected in the environment.

  8. to tell u the truth man and i might rant a little bit, i dont feel america is really for me either. I have friends from different countries that say life in other countries is so much more laid back then it is in america. Everyone wants that american dream and supposedly that is why america is so successful but I just look at it as a bunch of people working overtime so that they can gain all the materialistic necessities to fulfill their "american dream". Im not gonna lie i like having nice things but i also would love to live in a country more laidback then america. Don't get me wrong people america is great but it also has a lot of imperfections and the american dream isnt for everyone.

  9. The only better place than here is probably Scandinavia. But weed is illegal and alcohol is expensive there. So i'll just stay here i guess :D

  10. I'd be growing in Spain.
Then I could throw up bud porn constantly. :)

  11. o fo sho. i looked up citizenship requirements because my grandparents are spanish but spain is very strict :(

  12. I think everyone on GC should move to some tropical island where we can all grow weed, and just chill.
    Can anyone say coconut bong;)

  13. Germany. Hardcore brews and sexy blondes :)

  14. I would live in almost any country on the planet, just for the experience.

I'm trying to convince my husband to move to India. I absolutely love it there, but he's not so keen on the idea.

So... we're saving money to buy land in Belize or Costa Rica when my son graduates from high school. We'll build a small farm, and some tourist cabanas to rent out for money, and grow lots of weed.

  15. Somewhere in South America where the police leave you alone if you have a couple bucks to give 'em.

  16. australia, if they didnt have worse anti-cannabis laws than we do

  17. I'd probably move to Germany because that's where all my family lives. I'm a foster child living in the states. They are my family too... they've taken care of me since I was 2 months old when my mom died, but if I HAD to, I'd move to where I know I would be accepted.

    Either that or Canadia.

  18. Belize probably.
