What could this be?

  1. I noticed this a couple days ago but thought nothing of it. I'm noticing a couple more leaves like this now too. I'm growing in ocean forest. I've been getting my water to a ph of 6.5. Could've been off. I just got calibration solution. Strain is grandaddy purple. Havent fed nutrients yet. Just switched to flower yesterday. Plant looks healthy to me. Just a couple of the newer leaves look like the picture I've taken. Any help would be appreciated 20200501_071052.jpg 20200501_071255.jpg

  2. From looking at pictures I'm guessing a potassium deficiency? Or a ph issue from when I didnt calibrate my ph pen.

  3. could be a pH problem ...your plant looks ok though it may just be a bit of mottling on the leaves with nothing to worry about ,,i would only be worried if it was happening on more leaves etc new growth looks ok ,,mac,

  4. agreed if ur run into any deficiencies best to check ph first and then rule out.

  5. I’m having a similar issue, but with only one of my girls. That’s what’s strange, because I’m doing everything exactly the same for all of my plants. I also am using OF and I also pH my water to 6.5. I recently purchased an Apera pH meter, so I’m hoping time will tell if it’s pH or not. Definitely gonna keep my eye on this thread. I’ll also update if I find a solution/cause. IMG_2773.JPG

  9. I have zero clue what that is, to be honest. And I never water till runoff. I’m new to growing, so I’m not gonna pretend I have some magic answer as to why I don’t water till runoff. But the way I see it....I feed my soil organic fertilizer in the beginning of my grow. Then I top dress per schedule. I only feed pH’d water. Nothing else added. If I water till there is runoff, won’t I just be diluting the nutrients in the soil quicker than I plan? That’s my thought anyway. So what I do is monitor exactly how much water it takes to cause runoff, then I back down that amount just enough so that all my soil gets thoroughly wet, but there is little to no runoff. I pH my water into one container and water all my plants equally from that container. They all get treated the same. The rest of my crop looks okay, to me, it’s just this one with the discoloring and slow growth. Actually two with slow growth, but just one with the discoloring leaves.

  11. Oh, my bad. My plants, 4 Gelato 2 Wedding Cake, are each in 3 gal fabric pots, filled with Fox Farms Ocean Forest, amended with Down To Earth 4-4-4. I amended per box instructions. I suspect a nitrogen burn because I transplanted into amended soil. Per recommendations from this site, I lowered my pH to 6.3 for a few waterings to balance out the burn. Good color returned to all of my plants. I’m back to watering at 6.5. But now I’m noticing the discoloring. The plant bottom right, closest to the door, is the one in question . The rest are uniformly growing, for the most part. View attachment 2788643

  14. I started them from seed in plain OF. After they sprouted, I waited about two weeks and fed them a light feeding of Fox Farm Big Bloom. I did that because it’s super mild and OMRI listed. They got about two total feeding of that in about two weeks time. After a few weeks I transplanted them into the dry amended OF. From that point they receive only pH’d tap water. It’s been a little over 3 weeks since transplant.

  16. One of each. I tried posting a pic, but it doesn’t look like that’s working. If you can see the pic, the plants I’m talking about are the two bottom right. One of the Wedding Cakes is my biggest plant right now(top right). First time buying seeds. Gelato from ILGM and Wedding Cake from Growers Choice.

  17. Sounds good, I just started feeding. I'm using advanced nutrients micro grow bloom.
