What causes this?

  1. It looks like something has been munching on your plants. Also, I would take the time to really go over them, the undersides of the leaves, etc., and look for bugs or pests. Moths will often come by and take a chunk out of a leaf if they have access. But as your plant goes further into bud and becomes more heavy with resin, be prepared for bug attacks. We have big issues around here with caterpillars from larvae laid on the buds by white butterflies. These then hatch out, get fat off your buds and leave you with a nice case of bud rot. Seven dust will handle the caterpillars for you. Just sprinkle it all over the plant and gently wash off at harvest. Neem Oil is another product growers use for pests. It's organic, but should be diluted pretty heavy with water before use and it should be sprayed on the plant at dusk or right before dark, because it is photosensitive. Good luck! TWW
