Long story short, I haven't been growing for a little while and recently have gotten back into it. I always have used the same methods and I'm going to start experimenting more in the next couple grows. I came here for advice about topping alternating nodes (never had alternating nodes before) and some members hooked me up with some advice and articles so I'm back looking for some more of that great knowledge you all have! This is my second grow since I've started again. The seeds were started by a friend and they did not know the strain and told me they weren't feminized, out of the 8 they gave me only 1 was male. Anyways, I have 1 plant that has purple buds/leaves at every bud site (pic below) and I'm wondering what causes it, if it is maybe the strain, if there's an issue, or if it's normal and I have nothing to worry about. Plants are in soil, 1 part Happy frog to 2 parts Ocean forest. I'm using zero water and adding General Organics Biothrive Bloom and General Organics CaMg+ I appreciate everyone's time and help! I suggest this strain the Purple Urkle, the best in its time 5-10 years back, was the strain from Humboldt its very american strain based on many indica strains of the time the red was successfully bred into this strain and later led to the great Grandaddy Purple by being crossed with BigBud and an unknown Indica, then retailed by Nirvana, and others the red is simply stalled sap, like in red cabbage or red apples the sap stalls as temps fall, the more sap the more cold the brighter the red, also comes in dark red even blue but common is the purple, I think the name is anthocyanin, and really no biggy, simply breed a strain with excess sap(hi blood pressure lol) would suffice ...lol tho many growers are caught out with falling temps and freak, restoring the temps above 75? should restore the plant but not here being specially bred for the red good luck
Thanks for reply/information! Didn't think it was temp related, they are growing indoors and temps stay consistently 75-78 day time and at most 5 degree drop at night. It doesn't give me any other signs that it would be sick but just wanted to make sure since I've never encountered this before. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk
