Is this from nutrient burn? I don’t use fertilizer, only URB and Organic Super Soil mix with Fox Farms Organics. I’m guessing this occurred because of fresh nutrients during transplant? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I just noticed one of my plants has the same starting and just wondering to try flush it now or just wait till next watering day and water till theres decent run off
If you're reasonably sure this is what's going on, then the longer you wait the worse I imagine the damage will be.
Wouldn’t my TDS ppm be determined by the water I’m using to flush? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Agreed, being my very first grow, I did make the mistake early on of unnecessarily top feeding castings and causing one plant nutrient burn. I scrapped the top layer of soil off and flushed, that stopped the burn progression. The plant slowed in growth but recovered. In this case, the tips burnt and the progression stopped. It is now day three and the burn never got worse. I didn’t flush. This is an organic grow and I’m only using the super soil and URB for watering. I’m not feeding any fertilizer. I now realize that didn’t mix the super soil correctly and the roots made contact with the richer soil (which should have only been in the bottom 1/3). So they got a little surge of nutrients, but quickly adjusted. Yes. If you use RO like I do, I just add 12 points to the total. If you are using tap, then measure it and add nutes to make the total PPM's. Oh if you are adding PH'ed water at 6.5 and run off is 6.2, adjust your water to PH of say 6.8 and see if the run off is closer to your target of 6.5
I know it doesn’t. But this is a 100% organic grow, plus I’m meticulous, so I make it a little more difficult haha But yes, great grow! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ya i guess i probably shouldn’t classify it as difficult haha. Everything is just new as this is my first ever grow. Its a lot of initial learning, but i’m feeling much more confident now. Obviously they are hardy “weeds.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
