I have a 100watt HPS and Four 48" flouros, two that are high in reds, and two that are full spectrum. Would it be better to use the flouros to grow a couple plants, or the HPS? Or would it be better to use the flouros in the vegetative stage and then switch to the HPS for flowering? Any suggestions on how to use these lights to set up a grow system? Thanks
I believe you've answered your question, in the context of my thinking that is. The usage of the fluoros for vegging would be more beneficial in the long run than the HPS for vegging. That's only for veg, though, as HPS lighting owns all within the domain of flowering. Hope this helps a bit. ~Lycanthropy
True, the more lumens the better, but the dull red spectrum/balanced spectrum of the fluoros plus the very sharp red spectrum of the HPS would force the plants to stretch far more than they would with the fluoros alone. For budding, however, the full setup would be perfect. ~Lycanthropy
