  1. I've got 10 fem. WW and 3 of them are doing this. what is it and can I fix it.[IMG]

  2. Did the plant lift itself out of the RW ? Or is that fading fast, never seen anything like it...

  3. that looks like necrosis, a mold infection in the root stem, trash it before it infects any others!

  4. yep trash it and start over.............

  5. no it did not. if you look in the starter plug the stem is green and looks good. this is only happening right above the starter plug

  7. Did the plant look like mine or was it different

  8. In my humble opinion, it looks like a moisture related issue. The peat pot was probably kept too wet, which is easy to do. The constant moisture will cause the stem to rot at the soil line. Try again, just watch the watering. I personally don't like peat pots for this very reason. They are too easy to mess up with.

  9. thanks for the responce. not sure what you mean by peat pot, shes in rapid rotter plug and rockwool. also do you think it can/fix itself

  10. try just the rapid rooter next time, i've had great luck with them. other stuff holds too much water.

  11. My mistake, the rapid rooter plugs look just like peat pots (same material). I dont think there is much you can do to save it. Once the stem rots thru, it likely wont be able to repair itself.

  12. if it was me i would go 4 inches up cut it and try to get it to root again but what do i know.

  13. thats the best bet if you need to keep this plant, if you can replace it, then just do that

  14. If I was to cut it and try and reroot it would I need to put it back in the dome or is it o.k. to go back in the 4x4 tray under the 1000w. Or do you think it would be better to just take cuttings ( clones ) and go from there. Or is o.k. to take cuttings from these plants.

  15. ^^ this most likely

rip it out and start over

  16. My friend, plant tape.

  17. Stop watering that one-see what happens-only water when it Reeeeaaallyy dry

  18. If I was to cut it and try and reroot it would I need to put it back in the dome or is it o.k. to go back in the 4x4 tray under the 1000w. Or do you think it would be better to just take cuttings ( clones ) and go from there. Or is o.k. to take cuttings from these plants.

  19. I would mos def remove that as soon as possible or the necrosis could spread to your other plants

  20. so is the problem necrosis or is it stem rot.

I need an ( expert ). If its necrosis, can I still take clones from it or will the clone be infected.

    Need clarification asap.

Thanks for everyone who has responded.
