Hey guys so I’m doing my first ever Scrog and I was trimming some lower stuff off today and I noticed these tiny white bugs crawling around on the bottoms of some leaves and stems. The overall health of the plant looks pretty good but it’d be great if someone could help me identify these and help with a solution! Thanks!! Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I agree, aphids for sure. They will suck your plant dry in no time. Not sure on a method of killing them that isn't chemical based, I'm afraid.
in my outdoor garden I grow lettuce specifically because the aphids love it, if they have the lettuce to destroy they stay away from the tomatoes/peppers/weed plants
I had a houseplant with aphids. I tried everything that I could find. Eventually, I decided that they had 'won', and just put the plant and its pot on the lawn to bake in the sun... and attract predators. The plant is the most AWFUL-looking thing, now... but it's growing new branches everywhere... and no aphids. I wish I knew a cure.
Thanks guys! I got some insecticide soap that says good for aphids and it’s food grade so going to go remove all the undergrowth (where I’m seeing the majority) and spray down the rest and hope for the best! I think some of the hydro shops further out than my local ones might carry ladybugs so might look into that as well! Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Took an hour scalping off all the lower branches and big sucker leaves then I sprayed her down with the insecticidal soap including the floor of the tent and all the undersides of leaves then I spread some diomataciuc earth around she looks rough now but going to pray for the best lol Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
