What books should I get if I want to learn the science of cannabinoids and terpenes?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Business and Industry' started by Nightfall Shadow, Feb 22, 2023.

  1. I wanna know more about the actual science behind the plant. The science behind the terpenes and cannabinoids. How they work, why they work, what each of them are good for and why etc.
What books would best suit what I am looking for?

  2. There are 100,000s of papers relating to the science of cannabis and unfortunately some are political and give erroneous information.
I generally read the original papers and some reviews. This one is somewhat recent
    Phytocannabinoids: Origins and Biosynthesis
    and is open access.

(*I suggest reading this first tbh) I also like David Potters PhD thesis "THE PROPAGATION, CHARACTERISATION AND OPTIMISATION OF CANNABIS SATIVA L AS A PHYTOPHARMACEUTICAL" which is also open access. (start on .pdf pg32, it's good reading and you will learn lots).

ultimately though, you subscribe to @Storm Crow 's newsletters and learn massive amounts :D Maybe she'll chime in and give some better answers.

  3. I wished Granny would write a book on that. She is a wealth of info.
