Two books at the moment. "The art of strategy" for college (I like it though) and "The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail" for leisure.
Currently reading 1984. Just too coincidental considering the previous post Sent from my [SG s9+] using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Thanks @ICGreen I'll wait for the movie as I think the story has yet to have an agreabale ending ....lol
Took a weird turn and picked up the Tibetan Book of the Dead. With commentary from the dalai lama. Anyone else read this yet?
Hyperion (Simmons novel) I confess I'm struggling but I feel it would make a better movie or even graphic novel, I will continue as its been very popular Hyperion (Simmons novel) - Wikipedia
I read that book about 20 years ago. I liked it, and thought Dan Simmons a pretty skillful writer, but yeah... it would have been better as a movie. If I remember right, Simmons goes in for deliberately complex prose, like Samuel Donaldson and Umberto Eco. I think that kind of writing is interesting if you want to admire the writer's ability, but annoying if you're trying to read the story. lol
So, when you say, "No, this is not my first language," in Russian. . . lol English is now my only language. When I was young I could barely speak Farsi, and I knew a little Spanish. But now when I try to speak either I garble both. lol
