What are the effects, if any, of having night temps higher than day?

    So because we are having our Indian summer in CA, and having my light on during the daytime would cause excessive heat issues, I have decided to run my lights at night when outside temps are lower.

    The only thing I seem to be running into is that my lights on cycle has been seeing temps the same, or even lower than the lights off period. For instance; the other day outside temps (lights off in the tent) got up to 87, and later that night when lights were on, I keep my tent between 78-80... So I'm wondering if there are any negative effects that can be caused due to this.

    Adding AC to my tent is out of the question. I'm not really looking for ways to "solve" this issue... Just wondering if it actually IS an issue.

    As long as they are staying in range it shouldn't be a problem.

    Thanks Toasty, I figured as much since they are growing/flowering just fine. I just wasn't sure if this would effect my yield or not. Luckily we haven't seen any temps over 87 yet, and that was only one day. Most days the temps have been right around 78-80 during day and night periods. I wasn't sure if having virtually NO change in temp from day to night would screw anything up in the long run.
