what are the easy steps to grow 1 plant indoors?

i have a the clear spectrum light bulb, planted a germinated seed, and have the light on it for 24 hours already, its been about 2 days.

what are some specific steps i should follow, like, when should i start changing the light cycle, should i spray the leaves when they show? and how often should i water. and when do i know its right to start harvesting?

i just simple, im not gonna go all out and buy any of those chemicals.
