What Are The Dangers Of Switching From Outdoor To Indoor?

  1. Hi,

I am new here and this is my first post.
I have around 40 plants off Herbies and Sensi Seeds and have decided to start early in the season.
I have two Metal Halide and one High intensity Sodium lights, but they do not appear to be enough for all my plants. Is it safe to use the sunlight during the day, and then at night bring them inside and put them under artificial light for vegetation? Once they start flowering, I was thinking of just leaving them outside as this is more suitable for the 12/12 light cycle. During vegetation plants need as much light as possible and thought this could work yet I am scared that if I do this I might cause my plants to become Hermaphrodites. Has anyone else done this or have any knowledge about the safety of doing this?

    Peace

  2. I suggest you keep them inside. If they don't all fit, put a few outside. No back and forth.

  3. Just veg them inside put em outside to bud but only if it's 12/12 outside

  4. Good way to catch an infestation.

  5. I will try my best to do that. Do you happen to know if switching them back and forth can cause hermaphrodites or if bringing in pests is the main problem?

Is one of those reasons worse than the other to you? Yes, it could cause stress, as well as bring in bugs. I don't personally believe it would be in the plants benefit to be moved to different lighting constantly. Everyone has their own ways of doing things, so if you want to try taking them outside, then inside every night, then have at er. Let us know how it goes for you.
