What are Mirrors Made Out Of?

    It's a coating on a type of glass. The whole thing isn't mirrored, just the very outer layer of the dark glass chunk. Don't know what's in it.

    I knew that they were made out of glass, just wondering how it was different than normal glass, what made it into a mirror.

    it's glass that's boil'd with a mixture of some various chemicals, i believe,
    early mirrors were made of metal using (i think) a similar process..

    They are made out of glass, Chromium, and gallium(which is a really cool element-its a metal that melts in your hand)
