what are fountain drinks called where you live?

  1. It's quite annoying. Mostly everyone in Texas refers to any soda as "coke."

    "What do you want to drink?"
    "A coke is fine."
    "what kind?"

    I say soda, and I even get weird looks sometimes lol.

    Yea, I don't care whether people call it soda or pop or even soda pop-- but "coke" had to be the worst of them all. It makes no sense if you want a mountain dew and you say "Can I get a coke?".

    I mean, what do you say if you really want a coke?

    "Can I get a coke please?"

    "Sure, what kind?"

    "Coke please. ."

    "Yes, but what kind?"

    "Coke!"

    "We offer a wide variety. Please be more specific."

    "I said I want a goddamn COKE motherfucker!"

  7. I live i Michigan and call it pop. Or cola, like Farva in super troopers. Get me a liter-a-cola.

    At least the people who say Soda and Pop make sense, people who call any type of soda Coke are just craaazy.

  16. in west virginia, we call it pop. not saying its not ever refered to as soda over here though, just seems like pop is more commonly used.
