What am I missing?

    Hi,

    I am at a bit of a loss. I have started several autoflowers inside in tent spaces however I sold that tent. I started two seeds in 5 gal pots germinated in paper towel and transplanted to Jiffy Pucks. They have been in full sun as much as this Calgary June has provided. I have also started a third auto in a similar manner but kept it under lights to provide consistent lighting. But after twocabd a half weeks since sprouting this is what I have to show for it...

    I am using a 4bulbx2ft T5 LED light that puts out 170W equivalent. The lights are x2 full spectrum and x2 bright white 5500k.

    Watering every other day or as needed if the first knuckle is dry. I had a dome on it but removed it however humidity in my closet space is ~low-25%.

    I am disappointed and the lack of vigor on this.

    Help!! Or should I just pop another?

    Next time start them in small pot,,like red plastic cup,...buy a humidifier,...i almost want to say get better stronger lights...but dont give up on them, jus keep going, and sense u have started it in a large pot, probably dont need to water as much

    The plants don't really like coppin' dome, son.
    I mean, I do, but they don't.

    I used a single T5 but kept it within 1/2 - 3/4 inches for the first 8+ days. With no dome, that tupperware you were using prob blocked most of the useful light. Almost no heat off of T5's, plants can actually touch them for short periods, but I wouldn't recommend it. Had very little stretch and very tight nodes. Hope that helps.

    I mean I’m curious if the indoor plant is the same species as the two he had outdoor and how they compare. I just assume the OP has a grasp on what he’s doing - could be wrong

    Just wanted to point out it seems like OP did have a plan in mind. That is all

    Hey,

    I was concerned about planting into the finishing pot and anticipated that it would be a slower start for them vs using a solo cup. Last year I planted my autos too late and they never filled the pot so I wanted to avoid that this go around. I will water it less - makes sense.

    In regards to genetics - the indoor plant is the same as one of the outdoor plants and that was a bit of my experiment. The outdoor plant is kicking this one’s ass.

    I guess I could raise the plant closer to the light.

    I figured that it was actually either too much light, although that seems silly, or it was too low in humidity. I actually had only just prior placed that some on the plant as the ambient humidity was 21%. The significant majority of the time it’s off.

    You say its a 170w "equivalent" mate. There's no such thing. Whatever the actual wattage it uses is what you get.
    If it's a 50w light it's a 50w light and won't grow anything fast no matter what you do.
