What all types of lights work to grow?

    I know that you can use Metal Halide, HID, and Fluoros, but I was wondering if there is anything else you can use?

    Natural sun is the only other choice that is readily available. All other lights don't produce the wavelenghts that plants can utilize.

    Oh, because I heard you could use halogen, and neon (like signs)

    Nope, they don't work to grow plants

    yeah, i think everyone wishes it was as easy to light your plants with only the light in your room, but we do need to supply the special lights... man.... that would be cool if the normal room lights had the same effect...
