The leaves don’t look so good in some areas. This is my first grow. It’s outdoor. What is causing this?

  2. Method 1 PPS - google it, then buy it. spray it. expensive, but I won't use anything else. you CAN spray all the way up to the end of flower. omri certified

  3. Outside expect some damage. Things come by and take a bite. Punch a hole. As long as they don't take up permanent residence it's not an issue. Check it every few days and look at the underside of the leafs for hidden creatures.

  4. Most of the time any large concentrations of plant eaters will attract a predator insect like lady bugs or praying mantis who will make fast work of the plant eaters.
Nature is self correcting outside for everything except Caterpillars and Powdery Mildew.
    BT for the Caterpillars
Green Cure for the powdery mildew.

40 years of growing outside. :)

  5. The other day I saw a caterpillar crawling along the face of a sunflower.
I didn't pick it, I didn't squash it, I said "You have but moments to live".
    Than along comes a bird....

Thanks everyone for the advice. I didn’t even think of bugs. I did find one little guy on the plant, but only one so I’m not to worried. I thought it was a problem with the plant or wind damage.
Is wind gusts of 30km/hour bad for plants this size? Should I bring it inside on windy days or just leave it?
