Wetting Agents In Bagged Soil

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by I LOVE FOOD, Mar 3, 2012.

  1. While talking to an employee at my local hydroponics store, I was informed that most, if not all organic bagged soil is not truly organic because synthetic wetting agents are used. He used Fox Farm's products as an example but again, said that it was the case with many. I looked at a couple of different bags, and while none showed that they had a synthetic wetting agent, they also didn't show that they used an organic one. Is this salesman correct, Grasscity? I'd hate to grow something thinking that it's completely organic, only to be mislead.

Also, the employee said that Roots Organics was one of the only main brands that probably does not use a synthetic wetting agent, but again, he was not positive. Does anyone have any specific information regarding this brand?

  2. Organic is subjective. The best bet would be to contact Fox Farms on there website.
