wet crop transport...

  1. So I'm a college student and I have a couple plants back home and I am driving down there when they are ready to trim them up. However, I am only going to be there for 3 days which does not give it sufficient time to dry before they are ready to go into the jars. The drive back is approximately 9 hours and I was wondering what method I should use during transport. Would the 9 hour drive have a possibility of ruining the crop?

  2. keep the crop in paper bags so they can breathe a bit.
if your back seat drops down and opens the trunk up more, you should do that.

just hope you don't get pulled over

  3. This would be the best thing to do for the sake of the bud.

And this is why you shouldn't even think about doing it.

3 days drying should get rid of enough of the moisture to make it safe transport them in something air-tight for the half day you will be driving. What you should probably do though is open the container up once or twice during the trip to give them some air, then give your car a few minutes for the smell to clear before you get back on the rood.

  4. yeah I would not risk driving all that way without having it in some sort of air-tight container. But put it all in one thing, like one of those super, duper-sized Zip lock bags. One of those could hold a pound at least. That way, you could keep pulling over and "burping" the bag ever so often. The buds should sweat a good bit but shouldn't mold on you that quickly.

    ....good luck:wave:

  5. Another thing you can do is put something absorbent into the container with the buds to help with the moisture control. Shredded brown paper bags are great for this.
