  1. moved to coosbay Oregon a couple of years ago from the mid west where ive been growing 30 years. I live on the ocean, 55 degr. temp, windy. lots of fog. after the 2nd year of trying to produce a nice crop with out issues. im seekig help from you all. I get leaf curl on new growth, ph is fine, soil is fine, not over or under watered, fertilizer is fine, not over feed. could the cool climate and wind cause this issue. p.sp. brought a plant inside and seemed to be better. any ideas.

  2. Don't know about your leaf curl. Maybe put up some pictures and somebody can see what's going on?
I'm at the beach in California and Grow in drizzling fog, rain, overcast, and extreme day-to-night temp changes. (30 degrees +) We have 80-90 degrees one week and back to overcast 60 degrees the next week. For almost a solid month now we've had drizzling fog in the mornings with 40+ mph gusts in the afternoon.
My solution is a greenhouse. Or more like an open shelter to protect from rain and wet fog. Helps with the wind, too.
I am using an old carport frame with rolls of 6mil plastic over it. The sides are not completely closed up. So I am naturally ventilated, but no real temp control.

Last year I used some pallets for the sides. They allowed ventilation while blocking substantial wind.

  3. I’m in Oregon too. I’m east of you though. But the climate is hard sometimes. I also build a small structure. I used 6 mil plastic too. But used chicken fence to frame top and stakes at the sides. That way I can take the top off if it’s nice. Top on when rainy or too windy. Worked pretty well. You might consider something like it. This was last summer. I may use it again this summer IMG_6802.JPG IMG_6797.JPG IMG_6543.JPG IMG_6545.JPG IMG_6550.JPG IMG_6740.JPG IMG_6798.JPG

  5. Leaf curl on new growth is usually Ca related. Pics would help before I commit to anything.

  6. I’d stick with indicas they seem to be more forgiving with temp changes prob start em inside then move them outside.

  8. You can see how stretchy my plants are. You think indica's will grow more dense in my lack of sunny days?

  9. Yeah man top em n make em wide or tie em down. Find a good strain that’s resistant to mold n mildew you’ll need it on the coast.
I spent 6 years from north end to Florence doin road work. Never grew anything mostly lived with fam or got put up at the casino the weather is rediculous there think the best months I saw was April-August
