TSA Invades Roads & Highways With VIPR Checkpoints "The TSA has announced its intention to expand the VIPR program to include roadside inspections of commercial vehicles, setting up a network of internal checkpoints and rolling out security procedures already active in airports, bus terminals and subway stations to roads and highways across the United States." I thought since most of the airline TSA failed miserably at catching "terrorists" and "potentially dangerous people" they would be cutting the TSA's budget if anything. Seriously, what the fuck is going on? They're really going to scan our body language and faces before we go to a football game or concert? Why? What is this going to prevent? If someone wants to blow the place up, they're going to blow the place up. This is fucking stupid. As for the trucking...I guess that makes a LITTLE more sense. Its a lot more common to transport illegal/dangerous items in a semi than it is for a terrorist to blow up Madison Square Garden. Still seems way over the top though. What the fuck is HLS doing?
Don't worry Jesse Ventura is coming to save the day. He brought the Terminator and they're gonna blow that bitch up like the Predator.
Yeah, one thing my criminal justice professor pointed out, when law enforcement fails, their budget increases. This is something completey reverse in virtually every other field. Fucked indeed.
i feel like our government is trying to start a war with its people. they are eventually going to start to really really piss people off in this country and people will start to do dumb things. i hope that doesnt happen but i really feel like thats what it is leading to.
