Were outnumbered! Too many scared parents with kids voting NO on legalization........

  1. even if the bill only allows adults over 21 and doesnt allow kids to smoke pot and doesnt allow stoned drivers, they still will vote against legalization of marijuana. Just like all the other marijuana bills to legalize for recreational use failed, its gonna fail again this year. They fear that its gonna make it easier for kids to get pot, they think its a gateway drug, they fear about stoned drivers, they fear drug cartels and crime will take over and all the propaganda. Opposition is bigger than support. Theres counties everywhere banning marijuana dispensaries. Montana is trying to repeal its entire medical marijuana law. If getting it legal for medical use is this much of an uphill battle, what do you think is gonna happen if they get to vote for recreational marijuana?

Even if every single pot smoker and everyone who thinks it should be legal all went out and voted in the states that has that on the ballot, it wouldnt make a dent in the opposition or make it come close to cracking 50%. Were too much outnumbered by opponents. Even California voted against legalizing marijuana so no other state has any chance. America is too conservative to allow it.

  2. Well, boooo-hoooo on you. You need to wise up son.

  3. It's funny because you are so wrong. Go ahead and take your defeatist attitude elsewhere.
The tides are turning my friend, slowly but surely. Our day will come.

  4. Awww, poor little guy doesn't even have the slightest idea what hes talking about.

  5. we are NOT outnumbered...

    look around

ALOT people are pissed the fuck off and have Had it with the Govt's bullshit !

    the world IS changing !

  6. FFS, and I thought I was a pessimist. With talk like this, how the hell do we not know you are actually on THEIR side, trying to convince us all to give up the fight.

I mean damn, at least TRY and get a clue as to what the fuck you're talking about before you go spewing shit like this

(or you could remain uneducated and ignorant just like all the rest who oppose legalization...)

  7. The thing is, medical marijuana legalization has kinda hindered the overall movement. I see this show American Weed, and the ignorant cop points out that marijuana is more available. That is true where medical is legalized. But no s***, unless we legalize it all, not just part way, then the crime will still be in it.

Yes, the worried parents and conservatives will vote against cannabis use in any form, but-

Look, most conservative folks won't vote for cannabis unless the see how it can help them! That is up to us! WE have to show them. An easy way is to comment in the online news- I do frequently, like this-

All you have to do is reach one person! That is how we WILL win! One mind at a time!

  9. That's bc California is a terrible state and isn't what it's cracked up to be

  10. I happen to like living in California- as long as I am out of the big cities! Here I can grow my own. Most of the cops in my area will ignore a few plants as soon as you mention MMJ. If I run out, I go to the local dispensary where I can choose between a couple dozen varieties and see it weighed out in font of me. It's a nice clean business with regular hours.

The views where I live can't be beat. We get snow, but not too bad. Summers highs are usually in the 90s. Camping is just going a half hour's drive, while the beach is a couple hours away.

I think you may be judging all of California from a bad experience in the city!

  11. Colorado is the new California, as far as the legalization movement goes. Hopefully not quite as many selfish a**holes voting no on the bill though.

  12. hahaha, you're crazy dude, surf's up, ima go to newport beach and see some g-strings, who's down??.

  13. I saw a poll on CNN that said in Colorado about 50% approve of legalization, and they compared it to the approval ratings of Obama and Romney in the state which were both less than that.

OP that is not the right attitude to have especially posting on these forums, what is your point in posting something like that?

  14. I heard there is very little to no opposition...

Where are you getting your facts from?

  15. The ironic thing is that it would be much easier to "keep marijuana away from kids" if it were regulated in the same manner as alcohol and tobacco. It is 10 times easier for those under 18 to get weed than it is for them to get tobacco or alcohol. A "dealer" doesn't have any qualms about selling to teenagers, but a dispensary does. Just something to think about next time someone brings up the argument that "marijuana is a gateway drug and legalizing marijuana will mean more kids smoking pot".

And just because I can't resist, a comment on "gateway drugs". Marijuana is only a "gateway drug" for people who are drug addicts. If those same people didn't start with marijuana, they would start with alcohol, or prescription drugs. The problem is addiction, not marijuana. I know you all know this but I just couldn't resist.

And I do think that the tides are turning. There is more awareness now about medical marijuana than ever before. And I think that finally the general public is starting to get some real, factual information about marijuana instead of just propaganda about how marijuana kills brain cells and makes you smoke crack. A defeatist attitude accomplishes nothing except discouraging people from working towards real reform.

  16. Fuck that. The "Conservatives" are sex fiends and drunks like anyone else.
FEAR is what allows the status quo to continue. Not some "morality" that exists. If you think America is an overly moral place, you haven't lived here. ;)

  17. Pretty sure our country has moved in a positive direction since 2010 on this issue.

It may not win, but I sure as hell expect it to be closer this year. People are learning about the bulls*** our country's leaders are spewing. Legalize and Regulate will pass in at least one state within the next 4 years, I'll put my money on that.

  18. as the majority of americans who were brainwashed with Reefer Madness die off, public opinion has passed the 50% mark for legalized use.

soon, it will be an overwhelming majority who favor legalization.

then its a matter of getting the right politicians into office.

sorry chicken little, the sky aint falling.

  19. Actually, every parent I know here is planning to vote yes on it, because they are tired of the lost resources and wasted cop time due to marijuana control. People these days just aren't convinced weed is as dangerous as previously thought. At least, people outside of the DEA, drug and alcohol programs and extremely staunch conservatives/christians.
