    Just because you were born in '97 doesn't mean you're a 90's kid.

    It's not like you could remember the original Simpsons. I am sorry but three conscious years of the 90's just wont cut it.

    You remember:
    -TGIF
    -Step by Step
    -Family Matters
    -Dinosaurs
    -Boy Meets World.

    You remember when it was actually worth getting up early
    on a Saturday to watch cartoons.

    You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.

    You remember reading "Goosebumps"

    You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school.

    You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence . . . not

    when everyhting was settled by:
    -rock paper scissors or
    -bubble gum bubble gum in a dish or
    -daddy had a donkey inky binky bonky.

    when cops and robbers was a daily activity.

    when we played Hide and go seek until our legs grew numb.

    when we used to obey our parents

    You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record your FAVORITE song of ALL time.

    "Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?" was both a game and a TV game show.

    Captain Planet. He's a Hero.

    You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green ranger, were meant to be together.

    You remember when Super Nintendos and Sega Genisis became popular.

    You always wanted to send in a tape to America's Funniest Home Videos . . . but never taped anything funny.

    You remember watching Home Alone 1, 2 , and 3 . . . and tried to pull the pranks on "intruders"

    You remember watching:
    -The Magic School Bus
    -Wishbone
    -Reading Rainbow on PBS.

    You remember when Yo-Yos were cool.

    Flannel shirts and Grungy pants were cool.

    You played alot of Donkey Kong.

    You remember those Where's Waldo books.

    You remember eating Warheads.

    You remember watching:
    -the 1st Batman
    -Aladdin
    -Ninja Turtles
    -3 Ninjas movies.

    You remember Ring Pops.

    You remember drinking Surge, and Tang.

    You remember saying "get the picture DUH" to people who made you mad.

    If you remember when every thing was "da BOMB!"

    When they made the new lunchables so that you could make pizza AND tacos.

    People wore those spandex pants with stirrups.

    You remember boom boxes vs. cd players.

    Making those little paper fortune cookie things, and then predicting your life with them.

    You played and/or collected "Pogs"

    You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet, or Nano and brought it everywhere.

    . . . Furbies.

    You haven't always had a computer, and it was cool to have the internet.

    And Windows 95 was the best.

    Everyone had a pair of overalls or "bibs"

    You watched the original cartoons of Rugrats, Power Rangers, and Ninja Turtles.

    Loony Toons like elmer fund and daffy duck were the BEST.

    Michael Jordan was a king.

    YIKES pencils and erasers were the stuff!

    All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand.

    When wearing your pony tail off to the side of your head was cool.

    You remember when the new Beanie Babies and Talking Elmo were always sold out.

    You remember playing Sonic on your Sega.

    You collected those Beanie Babies.

    Carebears

    Gak was the coolest stuff invented.

    Lambchop's song never ended.

    The old dollar bills.

    Sir dolllvears, which were cool to have.

    You remember a time before the WB.

    You collected all the Troll dolls

    If you even know what an original walkman is.

    You remember wanting to sit on the orange Nickelodeon couch.

    You've gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"

    You know the Macarena by heart.

    "Talk to the hand" . . . enough said

    You always said, "Then why don't you marry it!"

    You went to McDonald's to play in the playplace.

    You remember playing on merry go rounds at the playground.

    Before the MySpace frenzy . . .

    Before the Internet & text messaging . . .

    Before Sidekicks & iPods . . .

    Before MIKE JONES . . .

    Before PlayStation2 or X-BOX . . .

    Before Spongebob . . .

    Back when you put off the 5 hours of homework you had every night.

    When light up sneakers were cool.

    When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs.

    When gas was $0.95 a gallon & Caller ID was a new thing.

    When we recorded
    stuff on VCRs.

    When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off of our walkman.

    When checking out drawing books and that one book about the rainbow fish from the library was THE cool thing to do.

    You had slap braclets!

    When Land Before Time was the movie.

    everyone had makeout bracelet

    Way back.

    Before we realized all this would eventually disappear.

    Who would have thought you'd miss the 90's so much!!!!!

    All I have to say is the first furby I had started freaking out and shit so I brought it back, the second one I got started making horrible noises at my friends house and it started SMOKING! I have no idea what happened, we decided it was the Chinese spying on us (a common belief at the time) And we threw it out into the snow and kicked it around until we broke it LOL

    Those things used to scare the shit outta me, they'd wake up for no reason and just blink at you...

  7. ya 1988 here, and all that shit is the truth...fucking miss some of it...with age comes freedom, but with freedom comes responsibilty...i wish i could just watch rocko and fresh prince all the time again haha...anyone ever wtach animaniacs, that used to be my favorite after school joint. Now I have a different type of after school joint ;)

    The LA Riots, Desert storm, OJ Simpson police chase, Oklahoma city Bombing, '92 election(where both parties got soooo scared after Perot got a huge chunk of the vote that they restricted 3rd party candidates from being in the debates afterwards), the California electric car mandate?

    Roseanne, Animaniacs, The Simpsons, Tiny Toon Adventures, Salute Your Shorts, Family Matters?

    Wayne's World? Half Baked? Fargo? The Big Lewbowski? American History X? Clerks?

    '85 myself. Never cared much for my generation, but in hindsight, there was some cool stuff here and there.

  17. I couldn't read over all that drunk but that shit pretty much sums up my late 80's early 90's childhood

    pogs sucked ass tho.. as did power rangers and beatle borgs ..any bandi crap annoyed me to no end

    no rep for Clarissa explains it all? that show kicked ass they always got away with some pretty vulgar shit

    you also left out Tiny Toons sega 32x sega CD betamax the maxell tape guy sitting on the chair getting smacked with mud lol

    so much shit... for 80's you got Punky mothafuckin' Brewster! hipclips that crazy ass black 'n white portable game console tiger had

    that awesome movie the goonies... and they live! plus tons of other goofy shit we all look back on with fondness/disgust at the same time

    back then 10 bucks was closer to 10 bucks now it's like 8 bucks 'n some change everywhere

    He never got pissed. I mean, c'mon. A 15-year-old boy, using a ladder on a two story house, to climb through the window of his only teenage daughter?

    Yet, he brushed it off like it he wasn't after some underage poon. Bah.
