  1. I looked thru a few threads here without luck. But I'm looking to add another small light to keep her happy. I found a rather large cf 40w light. It makes a orangish color rather then the white I believe I'm looking for. Anyone know if this will help or hurt?

  2. Not a good idea to mix color spectrums, use the red later for budding stick to the blue or daylight range, a photo would be nice!

  3. There are two kinds of CFLs that they sell. Daylight ones which give off a white light and are rated at or around 6500k. Those are most suited for veg state of your plant

The other they sell are Soft White CFLs which are at around 2700k. They give off the orangish red hue your talking about. Those are most suited for the flowering stage.

Theres nothing wrong with blending spectrums. Thats how the sun is.
