Weird things happening in my sleep

  1. Lately some strange things have been happening in my sleep. First off, you should know that I have never done any drugs other than marijuana, alcohol, tobacco, vicodin once, and ( I know it's dumb) NoS from whipped cream cans. I have never done any hallucinogenic drugs like Acid or DMT.

Anyways. I keep having these dreams where I'm offered drugs like Acid. What happens is, I take the acid, and then wake up a few seconds later, TOTALLY tripping balls, wide awake. Like it is the weirdest feeling ever. I can't describe it. I wake up and I can't really move, and I just feel so god damn high. I feel this extreme overwhelming feeling in my chest/stomach area and can't even see what is around me because I feel so high. Like everything is in a blur and I hallucinate like crazy for just a few seconds before it slowly goes away and I can move again. This has happened about 3 times lately.

Recently, a few days ago, I had another one of these weird dreams. I dreamt I was offered a joint, and I took one hit. All of I sudden, either I or somebody else says " Dude, this is definitely laced with acidddddddddddd" and everything goes slo-mo for like 2 seconds and then I wake up, totally tripping balls again. I couldn't breath, and I just remember being totally aware that I am awake and feeling high. I kind of enjoyed it, because it felt like a combination of an orgasm and an extreme adrenaline rush.

Anybody know what is happening to me? Thanks.

  2. Sounds kinda cool. I've had a similar dream, but nor recurring like that. And I didn't feel like I was tripping when I woke up, so i dont know what to tell you man. Have you been thinking alot lately about wanting to experiment with psychedelics?

  3. Thats crazy man, I had something similar to that awhile ago.

It was probably like, eigth or ninth grade, I hadn't started smoking yet, and I had a dream where I smoked weed for the first time. Once I smoked it, everything got all slow and I saw things in shades of pink hahaha.

  4. Yes. Actually, I have lately been really wanting to try something new.

  5. Kind of sounds like sleep paralysis, look it up. Might be nothing, but sleep paralysis can be a symptom of something more serious, like narcolepsy.

  6. sleep paralysis?

  7. when u awake are you actually awake or are you dreaming again that you woke up but its just a gap to another dream?

if you are really waking up then its probably sleep paralysis. your dreams are trying to tell you something, you should listen to them.

  8. No I really am awake

  9. when you sleep your brain actually releases DMT, thats part of the way you dream, DMT is a hallucinogenic drug so maybe that has something to do with it,

  10. The person who suggested you should look up sleep paralysis is right. When you are in REM sleep, your body releases a chemical that inhibits your muscles from being able to move. Otherwise, your dreaming body would physically act out the responses you have in the dream. (Maybe you've seen your cat or dog doing this some time?) Occasionally when you wake up in the middle of REM, your muscles remain temporarily paralyzed, and this sensation is commonly associated with really weird mental sensations.

As for why you're dreaming about being offered psychedelics... you said it yourself, you're looking for something new and interesting to try. We often dream about the prosaic situations that are on our minds during the day, it's like practice and fantasy combined.

  11. Are you sure its not just a dream inside a dream?

  12. It sounds to me like it's sleep paralysis. Basically, it's your bodies mechanism to temporarily disable your body from your mind, aside from a few essential functions (Breathing, etc..). It's the bodies way of making sure that you don't actually physically do what you're dreaming.

Crazy shit can go down in sleep paralysis.. you can perceive all sorts of ridiculous things, and often times you'll have wild hallucinations.

It's sleep paralysis, no doubt in my mind..

And when you're "waking up for minutes just laying there" it's actually seconds, you're lucid-dreaming...but your eyes just happen to have opened "waking up"

Nothing to really worry about, unless you're having trouble breathing when you "wake up" ...you don't do you?

describe the over whelming feeling, is it like butterflies? A sinking feeling? Pressure? or a "stuck" feeling?

  14. I really couldn't describe it you man. It just felt like a completely new high, and a completely new feeling that I've never felt before that I couldn't even categorize.

  15. sleep paralysis...MmMmmm <3 lol
next time it happens try to move, if you cant then theres ur answer.

  16. Yeah dude, sounds like sleep paralysis like the other have said.. and you are prob a normal lucid dreamer, people like that can dictate how their dreams go.. and since you noticed that its a new high, and also have been wanting a new high.. the first time it happened was prob a accident, but when your body felt the sensation it prob is now waking you up (lucid dreaming kinda) and letting you experiance the feeling.. and your body doesnt ALWAYS go into REM, sometimes if you dont sleep enough, or arent comfortable enough, your body doesnt go into it... so maybe when you actually get the DMT released your body wakes ya up..

congratz, new high, and its free lol...

  17. Hard to find some Halluci's for people. Good luck look around for friends who have friends.

  18. You were sleep walking bro. That is, you don't stay properly paralized you can get up and act out your dreams. I used to do it when I was a kid. I know from personal experience that it's like being awake and alseep at the same time. You may be concious of what's going on around you, but you're still seeing other shit.

  19. I think you could be suffering from sleep paralysis. google it and see if the symptoms match yours.
