weird qwiso

Thats fine; thats what qwiso turns out to be. The lime green is from chlorophylls, from degraded bud. I get green all the time if I:
1.shake for 2 minutes
2. use wet bud thats been frozen
3. use moldy bud
@ ICgreen, because you shake it up, then pour it out. As you pour it out, ISO re-washes the buds it flows past. You get more impurities if you don't vacuum it out (credit to sirsog). The majority is powder, then you get some other stuff that binds the powder into that goop.

Rust is fine; if you set it outside that means either the sun baked it a bit, or its impure qwiso. I'd lean towards the second with info given, because of the green outpour

2 questions: How long did you shake the ISO and bud together,
and
Was the trim wet, then frozen?

 

I guess my filters work too well, I never get two tone nor powders.

 

Was it dried before being frozen?
I don't understand the green color if it was dry, and with a 30 second shake.

And IC, I think its more that you shake for less time, haha. What filters do you use? Because anything the iso has dissolved will pass through any filter that lets the good shit pass; if though what you say IS true, I want to use your filters, haha.

Two tone isnt ideal (not bad, but not good) but the blonde/yellow powder is what you want, isnt it?
And, if you don't get either two tone or powder, what DO you get? the goop?

 

Short shake. Soak for 10 seconds, then a 30 -35 second shake. Just non-bleached coffee filters. Just oil after drying.
Usually a second run after the weed is dry, into a different bowl. That one does have more chlorophyl and is greener.

 

Ah that makes sense then; the oil is the result of the longer time the iso touches the herb. Though, even with my 45 second shake runs I get powder sometimes; might just be the diff in herb.

Would you say the second run is worth it? I only do 1 run, and I always feel bad tossing the trim.

 

That's what happened; the water froze and ruptured the plant cells, making the chlorophyll leak out.

I am a cheap bastard; the second run is worth it based on the cost of iso. Little bit on the length of a joint, or a broken up bud topped by a heated paperclip.

 

i dont know bro.. ive made qwiso a few times and never got anything like that,, usually the blonde powder that turns darker when you ball it up.. like a really really dark amber..
