Weird leaves on baby plant- help!

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by juniorcortez, Jul 9, 2019.

  1. this is my first plant, only about a month old. Doing pretty well but I noticed she’s growing these weird soft and wide leaves (non serrated) and can’t find any info about it online. Anyone know what’s up with them?

    Thanks!

  2. serious mutation ...I won't be wanting to toke that

find a more stable strain less bagseed more care

    good luck

  3. What are you growing in?
If hydro, what water are you using, and what are pH and ppm?

  4. Grew from a random seed I found in my weed in an Aeropod hydroponic system. Water is from the tap (I know, I’m getting a water filter ASAP). Don’t have ph measurer yet but ppm is at 828

  6. Oh that awful PPM if it's straight from the tap. If it's from the tap, you will have to get a RO system or buy water.
Order you a PH meter right now, 10 bucks on ebay and about the same on amazon. I have used the cheapest meters and they come with calibration solution. Get you a 3 pack of baby bottles, one for the ph of 4 solution, the other for the 6.8 solution.
Now if you are feeding them nutes, PPM's are way to high and will cause that along with PH.
    For a plant that size PPM's should be around 200 -- 300
Get all that and it will straighten right up

  7. I tried to grow using 190 ppm (500 scale), and plants looked a little like yours until I switched back to RO water.
My experience in DWC is that going above 450 ppm (EC=0.9) can harm plants.

If you switch to RO water, CalMag will probably be needed.

When in doubt, reduce feed that includes CalMag, move lights further away, get pH around 6.0, and see what happens in a few days.

  8. That looks messed up . Honestly I would grow it out a bit just to see .

  9. Oops forgot to add I will never grow a random bag seed ever again . I will never buy clones from random people ever again . It was a tough lesson to learn after all the care , time , money . I was 4 weeks into flowering started looking at the buds blooming oh the horror there was balls every where . I killed them all , it was a sad day .

  10. Id say something changed if it was a mutation i would think it would show in the early stages. The other leaf sets i mean
