I stopped smoking in January and smoked for first time since January two days ago. Same strain of weed, but I just bought it so it's not like it was sitting around in my stash jar. First time, with the exact same weed, my typical amount (2 bowls), and nothing happened. But I didn't go for third bowl and started playing video games. Then it hit me so fucking hard. My brain felt like it was really hot and melting and my heart was beating harder than it ever has. I figured I'd go to the bathroom and splash some water on my face. I did that and then looked in the mirror and I got so scared at my own face thinking that I was staring at someone else. Like I thought I wasn't myself. Part of me obviously knew I was having an abnormal weed experience and I tried to chill out and it got better as time passed. Yesterday I smoked two bowls, but I spaced them out by about ten minutes. I didn't have a panic attack but I definitely felt weird again. Kind of distant from myself. But not in the good way that you want to feel different on weed. Like eerie. Uncomfortable.

I don't know the exact name of the strain but it's definitely a hybrid, which is what I used to smoke regularly. Also, there were no other drugs in my system at the time. Anybody else had weird experiences like this after coming back from a long time of smoking without problems?

  2. Have you had any residual effects after your 'trip'? Perhaps feelings of derealization?

  3. I mean, I keep remembering "Remember that time you had extreme derealization like only 36 hours ago?" But I don't still have those feelings.

  4.
I had a bad weed trip once and felt like i was coming out of my body. Since that day almost 3 years ago, i still have constant, mild derealization. Cannabis can induce these kind of mental disorders, if you are susceptible to them.

Perhaps you got too high and since then, your brain doesn't want to experience it again, so is not processing the THC????- Crude way of putting it.. not a brain surgeon ;)
Our minds our VERY delicate, and mary-jane DOES affect it in negative ways as well as positive.

Yeah, we'll see. In a few hours I'm picking up an eighth of what my dealer says is "milder weed". He says the hybrid I smoked is very indica dominant so that may explain the dullness/eeriness.

  6. you just got high as fuck my dude, smoke one bowl next time out of a pipe and work your way up

  7. Maybe just try one bowl after a 3 month T break? :confused_2:

  8. Yeah, that probably would've been the smartest thing to do, but being a ten year everyday smoker until 3 months ago made me think I could easily jump back on and smoke 2 bowls in five minutes. I'm gonna smoke a different strain tonight though and I'm hoping it was just a fluke.

  9. Pretty common phenomenon. Smokers coming back after a break and start smoking like they used to, heart rate goes up and they get a little humbled by the weed. A buddy of mine had a panic attack after a t-break, and because of that dropped the herb altogether.

  10. You probably are smokign too much weed.  For taking several months off, then coming back smoking 3 bowls and 2 bowls sounds like too much.  If I got nugs, then I usually only smoke a bowl at a time, and I've been smoking 10+ years w/ no breaks.  Just try taking a few hits and wait.  My friend quit for a while then started smoking again.  he would only take 1 -3 hits and be high for most of the day.  Just take it slow and you can always take more hits if needed.

  11. probably just higher anxiety and paranoia due too taking such a long t break, however I have never felt those things after a t break so I dont know

  12. Thanks for all the responses guys. I've smoked two bowls every day since that happened with no issues. Back to normal. I still don't know the explanation for that freakout, but as long as it never happens again I don't give a shit.
