Weird Dreams

When I was wearing nicotine patches I'd have these really vivid dreams. They were intense but they wasn't in the nightmare or wet dream categories but still they were more interesting than my real life was at the time.

 

I don't dream ..I really try but nothing, some would say I just can't remember,
but I've played many games with this, and it don't work,

but I am a light sleeper last night I awoke with a cat vomiting outside my garage door, 50 yards/m away

I rarely remember my dreams.

The most vivid dreams I've had was when I had a sinus infection and wasn't doing anything about it.
2 weeks of INTENSE strange adventurous dreams. That was a decade ago and still remember nearly all 2 weeks of the dreams.
Would wake up soaked in sweat and sometimes crying (from the dream), confused/sad/happy/angry. It was weird.

 

I used to have cool dreams, not so much anymore.

 

I remembered them for a while, far longer than most dreams but that was maybe twenty years ago.

 

Isn't it wonderful how absolutely real a sex dream feels? Flying dreams are my next favorite and I have a better chance of having flying dreams than sex dreams. If I can partially wake during a flying dream I can control where I'm flying. A few months ago I had a floating dream, I was floating while standing about a foot off the floor and I could control where I was going but it didn't last long before I woke up. I have a electronic blindfold that's supposed to sense when I'm dreaming by my eye movements and flash lights to wake me enough to realize what's happening but it didn't work for me. It's called a lucid dreaming mask or something close to that.

 

Had a dream last night of black guy shooting me on a bus.

 

My latest weird dream was just nothing but a colour everywhere. With my mind I was furiously mixing it into different colours, I'm not sure why. It was stressful and I woke up sweating a bit.

 

I have like 5-6 dreams every night lol. Sometimes they are much cooler than the reality we live in for sure, like living in a movie for a moment.

and sometimes if I realize I’m dreaming, I can start to control it.

 

Even though nightmares can suck i still think dreams are the best part of the day, i look forward to sleeping every night. I hope to die in my sleep, but i hope it's not in a nightmare lol.

 

I have sex dreams ALL the time, I'm not complaining because IRL I lack action lmao. It's been 8 years.

 

Plagued with sleep disturbances for years; dreams have somewhat of a repetitive pattern of inadequacy and ineptness where I'm in a vaguely familiar setting but completely unable to handle the workload of what had been my vocation (bartender/server). Disturbing enough that I only sleep for a few hours before waking unnerved by these scenarios and it takes quite some time to shake the emotions evoked. Occasionally there are divergent and unfamiliar encounters not related to any life experience or memory that are even more unsettling by their vivid imagery which have me questioning my grip on reality.
A lifelong introvert (borderline antisocial) I'm more comfortable with the company of family and pets than even coworkers or casual friends and have never been helped by involvement with psychiatric meds or psychologist interactions.
At 63 I've come to understand that my history of alcohol use (sober for over a decade) was a form of self medication although a very poor coping strategy and lifelong use of ganja has evolved from social lubrication and pleasure seeking to a beneficial modality for calming a troubled spirit. Hazy childhood recollections have convinced me that I suffered sexual abuse but this epiphany doesn't provide any relief from tendencies for obsessive compulsive behavior; fortunately the herb helps keep these from being overwhelming.
The recollection of numerous concussions throughout life have me suspicions that I may have mild CTE which may play a role in both the sleep irregularities and poor stress response.

 

Work dreams are the worst. In my work dreams I'm always far behind in my duties and nothing's working out. I've been retired for several years and still have them on occasion.

 

Interpreting dreams is as flaky as tarot or palm reading; the subconscious run amok doesn't have to hold a deep meaning. We are pattern seeking and yearn for simple answers to life's mysteries when at times there is none.
