weighing weed

    when you weigh out weed on your scale do you need to take it out of its bag?

    If you buy a certain amount, an 1/8th for instance, it should weight that amount WITHOUT the bag..if that is what you're asking.

    Depending on the scale you might have a "tare weight" button. This means you can put the bag on the scale, hit "tare weight" and what that does is subtract the weight of the bag.

    So when you put the weed in the bag then on the scale it is only weighing the weed, and not the bag aswell.

    You don't smoke the bag, so you shouldn't weigh it.

    Yes, you should. If you don't (and haven't adjusted your scale to compensate) you're weighing the bag and the herb.

    If you have a medicine container or a little tupperware, you should place that on your scale as a sort of tray, hit the tare button to reset the weight to 0.0g, and then drop your nugs into the container.

    Yes.
    You should take it out of the container it is in, and weigh it as close to the center of the scale as you can. Weighing it in a bag not only adds the weight of the bag, but it pulls it off center, making the readout inaccurate.

    If you don't believe me, try it yourself.
