Hey guys, first grow in this apartment. It’s a 1,000 sq and I’m venting into the same apartment because I can’t vent anywhere else. This is week one and I just want to know if the growth looks normal so far.
Looks good so far, mine typically look about the same at that age You may have already done this, but I'd recommend getting 2 carbon, filters (1 to use plus a hot spare), a 100-200 cfm inline fan (4 or 6 inch are pretty common sizes) ,and some flex duct like for a clothes dryer. Vent the tent 10-20 feet away (if you have a window you can bar or block and let the duct exhaust out that way even better) so that you are pulling "fresh" make up air into the tent 24/7 (don't plug the fan into the timer outlet) Best of luck mate, and don't get discouraged if it craps out on you, the first 1-4 weeks is typically where I always had the most trouble.
I meant my apartment is 1000 sq, I’m growing in a 3x3 grow tent but I’m in a studio apartment with central ac and a window near the tent. I have a 4inch fan and carbon filter. Yours look bigger for day 7, worried they’re gonna stay miniature.
I think you'll be ok, esp if its your first grow, I've only been at this a few years compared to some around here with decades of exp, but as long as you see the grow through, you will get much better with each new attempt. Here is a plant at 2 weeks of age from my 1st, 3rd and most recent grow, don't worry if yours are smaller at first, you'll get better if you keep reading and learning Likewise, plants at the end of veg from my first to something like last year And then you'll get into flower, where you can really grow a pretty "natural" plant, or top that girl down and go for max yield! Full disclosure, it took about 2 years of growing to get my "groove" and feel comfortable tending to most issues with the plants, but every grow along that path I could see myself getting orders of magnitude better, and even my first sickly plant gave me almost 3 ounces of decent bud, which now I regularly get triple that or better per plant. and hey, if in a few days you are still concerned, post another pic and ask around again, thats what the forum is for! PS if you want a kind of step-by-step on germing and starting plants into a healthy veg, I'm currently doing a journal where I teach my 80ish year old dad to grow. Bruce Banner / Gorillia Glue scrog dirt grow for octogenarians and more!
dont sweat the rh right now but keep the temp at least 70f or warmer on her 80f if you can get your light close
Temp stays between 75-77 so all good there. I’m going to stop wetting topsoil and wait til they’re a bit droopy so I don’t overwater. and I also turned my lights up 25% because they were on lowest setting. I’ve had a failed grow where nothing developed passed a certain point, so just trying to make sure I avoid that.
so it is now Sunday and there's been growth and they look healthy, but still feeling a little worried about the rate of growth. I feel like they should already be developing second set of true leaves by this day (day 9 or 10).
I measured run off the other day with the color tester and it read pretty low but i ph the water i give to 6-6.5. I also turned the lights all the way up to 100% (200 w led). The two smaller ones in the back were stunted a bit but the others have been fine but still feel small for how many days its been.
It is now four days later and everything seems to be picking up and looking good. We are about two weeks in from seed; I think the slow/small growth was due to too much water, so I've been holding back on that. Last water was last Friday, besides the runt in the back which got watered yesterday and seems to be doing well. Red solo cup grew a funky leaf but seems to be growing out of that, she's also the most vigorous/biggest grower of the bunch. My carbon filter's fabric cover seemed to have gotten clogged with some strange white powder which was causing the temperature and humidity to spike the last two days, but luckily I figured that out and everything is back in check. Looking forward to this next week of growth.
Watered the one on the left as it was incredibly dry and i could notice a slight droop, however, it got droopier after a water. Is this normal? cannabis plants I've grown successfully in the past have also drooped a bit after a water but then perk up more than they were by the next day.
They're looking healthier, however, I don't see them growing taller, they're still pretty short. They sit around 2-3 inches and I just feel like they look stunted. Will they grow out of it? I transplanted into 3 gallons this past Saturday.
