weed wont burn...

Discussion in 'Beginner Cannabis Consumption & Tips' started by zen_420, Aug 15, 2007.

  1. So, a while back I bought some weed and twisted a j but when I tried to light it, it wouldn't burn. I think that the dude who grew it didn't fertalize the plant with enough nitrogen but that's just my best guess as to why this pot wont stay lit. I have to keep a flame on it the whole time I inhale, just to get a hit, then it goes out, will not stay cherry at all. It tastes kinda bad and it beats extremelly fast, most likely because I have to keep a lighter on it for 3-7 seconds for each hit. I have a really high tolerance but the high only last like 30-40 mins max. (the mids I usually get keep me up there for about 1-1.5 hours) Also, the smoke never stays dense once i inhale it, like when I blow it out it's very thin smoke. The problem I'm having is that my boy who could hook me up with my exotic shit just got busted and no one is picking up their phone, so I'm stuck smoking this shit. Anyone had any similar experiences ? If I twist and L w/ this weed, will the tobacco leaf keep it lit? (havn't tried it yet, and dont want to waste a perfectly good dutch is it wont burn) Thanks for any help.

  2. its probably not cured, dry that shit out, leave in a dark drawer or something for 6-8 hours

  3. A blunt should keep it lit.

Does it feel moist at all? You might have to finish drying it out, some people who grow at home won't dry it all the way, cause that extra weight = free money to them.

Sucks, but it happens with mids, cause well, they're mids ;)

  4. sound like old dousche bag hooked you up with some not fully dry reefer

  5. either its not dried right, or its just to sticky to roll up. ive had some good ass dro that i had to smoke out of a bowl because when i rolled it up, you couldnt hit it.

  6. toss a clip in the joint...

  7. your bud hooked you up with sum wet reafer to make money. its sold by weight so wet =more weight.

  8. It's very dry. Could it be dry and not be cured?

  9. it could have been cured inproperly, but lol Dro should NEVER be too wet to smoke, more likely ur dealer wets his buds and calls it dro, sum kid tried that on me recently and i nearly socked him for trying to burn me for my money, instead i just didnt pay him for the weed cause i knew it was wetted the second i got it.

  10. Hmm not sure on that man, it could also be whoever grew it, didn't flush it long enough with regular water (used ferts to late in the grow), and this could make it not burn right / to a white ash.

Not sure on the cured thing, when I got buds that weren't cured or cured right, it didn't burn weird just tasted / smelled weird, like hay almost.

But yeah, a blunt should keep it hot enough, use one with a thick leaf like a dutchmaster, that shit would burn anything.

(I got weed like that in florida once, wouldnt burn right in a joint, blunt worked fine for me, but mine was not dry, it was moist, so I knew the reason why it wasnt burning right)

  11. Dude your bowl might just be clogged. I had the same problem ergo why I was searching this. Turns out I've been wasting g's of weed trying to get high. My weed was burning slowly. It's usually because there's a blockage of some sort. So it needs more air. So clean it with a kasher or use a filter when you roll

  12. Sounds like your bud wasn't cured properly / enough.

Bend a stem, does it easily snap or can you twist and rotate it without it breaking? If it doesn't snap easily then your stuff isn't cured properly.

  13. its either not dry enough or the grower did not flush the fertilizer out before harvest. Its also possible that the grower used miracle grow type fertilizer which can result in flame retardant weed, especially if the fertilizer is not flushed.

  14. How can you tell? Is there a ded give away?
