Is the weed soft and moist? If so you might need to dry that shit out. Also what MaryJane said.

 

You are either rolling your joints too tight, or the weed is moist or wet.

 

He said it's Mr. Nice Guy so it's probably dry enough.... Unless he's slobbing all over the joint haha. Just make sure it's not too tight and make sure it's distributed fairly evenly across the paper.

 

try using a different kind of papers.

 

Are you grinding up the weed properly? Cause uneven chunks tend to not burn very well.

 

Make sure you're grinding the weed with a grinder.

OP: Try loosening up the joints you roll or air dry your weed if its too damp

 

I've had the same problem lately and I thought it was because I've been smoking dro for the past couple months and it was really moist weed, but I've had some jack herer lately that's plenty dry and i've still been having problems with uneven burning on my joints. I've tried all sorts of different rolling techniques and it keeps happening. Is there a post on here about ways to avoid "canoeing"?

 

it's probably because the grower didn't flush the weed properly.

Maybe the buds too wet?

 

Considering the bud your using represents my name i will try to answer lol.

My assumption is that the bud you are smoking is wet. The person harvested and did not dry it properly. Thus, not only does the bud still have water in it. You kinda got jiped. If you were to continue the drying process to make the buds more combustible you will loose about 1/4 to 1/2 of the weight you have. EXAMPLE, 14 grams a little wet can equal 7 grams fully dried.

If the bud is dry and kinda solid then perhaps the problem is you are rolling it incorrectly. Im not sure how experienced you are at rolling joints or blunts, but if one is rolled in correctly it can do the things you described as well

used to smoke a pipe and cigars (tobacco) and if packed too tight or rolled too tight neither would stay lit or burn properly. had more than a few cigars that would burn up the side instead of through the middle like they're supposed to. in this case just wet the wrapper ahead of the burn to slow it down and straighten out. sometimes this worked other times it didn't.

 

Put this weed aside and let it dry out. Been smoking 40+ years and this just happens sometimes. Buy a new stash and when you come back to this stuff it should be fine.

 

Your blunts smoke fine, but your joints don't. That means the issue is in the papers or your rolling, not the bud.

 

I thought mr nice guy was that synthetic shit ? Maybe it's a strain name to but maybe the buds not dried enough
