Weed storage; Can it improve MJ potency?

    Im buying a ounce in some hours... I smoke between 3-4 times a day, everyday.
    My plan for this next pickup is just to limit my smoke to 2 or 3 times per week maximum. This is because lately I havent feeling to much of the effect and also to save some money.
     
    In the past, I used plastic bags (the worst place to store weed imo, because it kinda degrades it), plastic tupperware (worked fine until mom found my oz, damn).
     
    A friend of mine (who is a chef and a stoner) told me that the best way to store weed was in a mason jar. The weed should be wrapped in tin foil.
     
    My question is, do you think this is a good way to store weed? Will proper storage improve the buds?

    btw, Ive heard that mason jars can produce mold... its sunny outside, should I left the jar there getting dry just in case?

    A mason jar will only produce mold if your weed is moist or not cured.
    If it is still curing the taste and potency will continue to develope. It is recommended to burp, or allow a short airing time every few days. You should not store your weed in the sunlight, put it in a cool dark environment. :smoke:

    What i think your chef buddy means is putting it in a mason jar turns the THCA in your weed to THC after a while, this will only benefit you if your going to be cooking with your weed without decarbing it, but if your just gunna smoke it the heat from the ember will turn your THCA to THC. You should store your weed in a mason jar anyway keeps it fresher then plastic bags.

    yea not the first time that ive heard that buds will get moldy in glass. as long as you store it in a relatively cool and dark place, you shoul have no isses.
