Weed not as good anymore, hash?

Discussion in 'Cannabis Consumption Q&A & Tips' started by klbuds4u, Aug 24, 2012.

  1. Hello.

I am a medical patient, so taking a t-Break is very difficult for me to do. As much as I need marijuana for pain management, I like using it for recreational purposes too.

If weed isn't getting me high anymore, will hash?

I only plan on using hash on like weekends, weed pretty much every day for the most part.

  2. Sounds like you need a vape :smoke:

  3. idk grannys prolly gonna be on this shit soon

  4. invest in an oil rig and some bho from your dispensary shits dank

  5. edible cannables
or like exercise ! No fat = no tolerance why u think athletes or like snoop and wiz have it so good.

That's not true at all man. In high school as a senior I was 135. And I had tolerance issues all the time. I'm in my thirties now and I'm shaped nicely, with a very low body percentage. And I still have to take a break every so often.

  7. I don't think thats right....

  8. Have a Arizer solo.

Yeah I'm not so sure about that fat thing. I think it helps a little though.

Is hash that much more potent?

  9. get a Ti nail and glass dome. hit your local dispensary and get a variety of hashes, get some waxes, some budders, some oils, maybe even some bubble. a dab or two and youll be very nicely medicated :bongin:

  10. exercise is still your best bet, However you wud have to take breaks cuz ur brain needs to restore itself. melatonin, omega, serotonin and all that good stuff. So you cud try n supplement accordingly to your dosage (see what works for ya).

  11. Hon, it could be because of your diet! Let me explain. :)

The way you get high on pot is that the THC activates the CB1 receptors in your brain. :smoke:

(Today's vocabulary word- THC is a CB1 and CB2 receptor agonist - it activates both CB1 and 2 receptors. An agonist has nothing to do with agony or pain- it just means activator.)

If you have a diet low in Omega 3- and most of you do- it can affect your ability to get high and heal with cannabis. Those CB1 receptors need to have some Omega 3 around when they are being made.

If there is no Omega 3, the receptor is made defectively- the G i/o effector protein does not get "glued down". Like a machine, if a piece is left flopping free, it just isn't going to work! You get a non-working, dud receptor!

The receptors receive chemical messages (cannabinoids) and deliver the message to the cell. Now this message can be "I feel good today" :D , or "I'm high!" :smoke: Or to that first rogue brain cancer cell, "DIE NOW!" But if the receptor is a dud, the message doesn't get through!

Scientists are still figuring out the endocannabinoid messaging system :confused_2:- it's a brand new science.

Enough duds, and it starts cutting into your emotional health, your healing with cannabis and your high. [IMG]

Taking Omega 3 can help to reverse this, but it takes a while to replace all those millions of dud receptors! Depression can be due to a lack of working CB1 receptors, so it makes a good way to see how long it takes before Omega 3 begins working.

Keeping your endocannabinoid system (ECS) healthy impacts how well your body can use cannabinoids. Taking Omega 3 and eating a sensible, healthy diet can go a long way in keeping your ECS in tip-top shape! :yay:

  12. Granny has it down. Unfortunately, IMO, fish oil pills are nasty so if anyone has any other methods for getting omega 3s, speak up!

  13. I'd invest in either a vape or edibles.

  14. if weed doesn't do it for you, i'd suggest hash,edibles,oil.. theres alot of options

  15. Granny has some good advice.
Also, taking melatonin before bed every night reduced my tolerance to 0. I stopped cause it makes me tired all day, but it might be a good thing to try for you.

  16. Those "fishy burps" can be lessened by keeping the pills in the freezer! The cold pills don't dissolve as fast and will open up in your intestines. :)

The other way is to use flax seed oil or hemp seed oil! (The cannabis plant is a total package- the seeds provide the Omega 3 that we need for the cannabinoid receptors to work! :yay:)

If you are male, you need to take a bit more of the veggie forms of Omega 3. Your body has to fiddle with the "short chain" veggie types to make it into the easier to use "long-chain" form. Men don't do this quite as easily as females do, so a bit extra flax seed oil or hemp seed oil won't hurt.

  17. most people i know in medical states are all about that dabbing now, and dont smoke even the dankest weeed, they just do dabs.. sigh

  18. If you don't like having tolerance issues, hash oil, dabbing.. terrible idea.

Hash is nice, especially if it's not too potent, anything potent is going to destroy tolerance.

I found lemon flavored fish oil caps which are slightly tasty. No fishy taste or smell whatsoever.

  20. Well I've been taking fish oil supplements for a while now. Not recently though, I will have to get some more. I will also be trying a cbd tincture to replace frequent smoking, so I think this will help towards my tolerance with THC, and regular bud.

Tried hash, pretty insane. Too much for me, at least when with a large group of people in public.

Will probably use some weak hash or kief in a one hitter when I want to get high and bud doesn't work.

But bud or the tincture I will reserve for medicating purposes.

Hope I don't end up like one of those people who can't smoke anymore because they get paranoid....... How long does that take? :confused_2:

been smoking for 6 months total, 3 of those months every day.
